The Foot Parlour, chiropody and colon hydrotherapy practice, was established in 2001.
As a colon hydrotherapist, I help others to want to make a change to their life and health and then help them to maintain it.
Colonics are a great way to kick start and then maintain the body, but one also needs knowledge on diet and supplements. I am not evangelical about eating and living more healthily but I want to spread a bit of knowledge about and create a quiet revolution that hopefully will spread.
I am appalled at how many people die from preventable illnesses and I am doing my bit to reduce it.
I have gone from a person who administers a treatment for a full bowel to a therapist who can look at the whole body and make suggestions to clients as to how to live a balanced diet and a cleansed body.
The ‘light bulb’ moment for me was watching a Jamie Oliver’s film, when I realized that we really were filling our bodies with stuff that we were being ‘conditioned’ to buy and eat and that the decision and choice we were making are not informed ones. Suddenly all the things I had heard or seen about organic and eating well dropped into place and the role of therapist became clear to me. It wasn't’t treating the bowel, it is treating and advising the whole body and the owner of the body to knowledge of how to live more healthily and have more energy and vitality and not to be ill by ensuring the immune system is fully charged.
I can see how it is possible to have a beneficial effect on my own life by adopting new practices in my choices of food and lifestyle and also the opportunity to help others to live better and longer and enjoy the life they have been given.
